About this site

A single place to find memory cafés in Central New York

There isn't one obvious place to find out where and when memory cafés meet across Central New York. This site brings them together in one spot — schedules, locations, and what to expect — so caregivers and families don't have to go searching.

This is an independent community resource, not run by any single memory café. Each café is still responsible for its own programming and schedule — we just make it easier to find them. If you spot an error, or know of a memory café we're missing, pleaselet us know.

Frequently asked questions

What is a memory café?
A relaxed, social gathering — not a medical program or support group — for people with memory changes, Alzheimer's, or other forms of dementia, along with their caregivers, family, or friends. Expect coffee, conversation, music, and activities suited to everyone in the room.
Who can attend?
Anyone living with memory changes and the people who support them. Most cafés ask that a guest with memory changes bring a caregiver or companion.
Is there a cost?
No — every café listed on this site is free to attend. Some accept donations.
Do I need to sign up ahead of time?
It depends on the café. Some welcome walk-ins, others prefer an RSVP so they can plan activities and refreshments. Check each café's page for details, or contact them directly.
